The feeling of ‘void’ is exciting, you feel ‘nothing’, you are empty, mindless, disinterested — in everything. The void comprises the empty, lonely feelings stemming from holes in our hearts and soul. Sometimes these holes are fresh wounds like a breakup, death in the family, or losing our job. Sometimes they stem from something much deeper, like a lack of connection with family growing up, a childhood trauma, or hurt caused by someone in our past. Most of us jump right into distractions. The truth is that anytime you try to distract yourself from feeling what you're feeling, you're avoiding the fact that you're not whole. Something is missing, damaged, or broken; until you face it, no person or thing will ever make you feel complete. When you take the time to feel and experience the uncomfortable space that is void, you begin to see things. And when you can see things clearly, you can begin to heal. Maybe it's not that you need that specific person in your life...

Virtual Reality My world, my reality and all that I know, has been imprisoned in a computers window, for we are all living in temporary insanity, slaves to a life of virtual reality! Something so small could cause a disease, that would bring mighty empires to their knees. The rich and poor alike struggle for a breath, gone and forgotten is any dignity in death. It was not the bombs or guns or armies mighty, nor was it the superpowers or the wrath of the almighty. It was an errant scientist that set in motion, A change in civilisation; a silent revolution. How does one combat this negativity and fear? the drama, the death and words insincere, for I am just a frightened little girl, silently cocooned in my make believe world. But I have a secret that helps me cope, with the stressful times and gives me hope, I have the power of prayer, faith and cheer, which makes me believe that we will persevere. Till then I will not be afraid and will do my part, every effort is important, ...

It's ok only If… It’s ok to stop the change-makers, It’s ok to stop the peacemakers, It’s ok to spread hatred and anger, and It’s ok to fight brutal battles. It’s ok to snatch opportunities For the distressed and poor, It’s ok to rain them down With torture, and It’s ok to force a ban. It’s ok only if, You have another plan, To find solutions to hunger. It’s ok only if, Happiness you can spread, By providing them a loaf of bread. You can do all the criminal offenses, Only if that can bring better prospects, Only if it can fill their future With bright aspects. But alas! No, This injustice won't bring The dawn of peaceful civilization, It will only bring devastation. Why create more problems, When you already have a solution, In form of peace, justice, and strong institutions.

BRACE FOR ‘NORMAL’ LIFE Take your own time to come out of ‘lockdown cocoon.’ If you feel overwhelmed, take a sensory break, drink water, take a quick walk outside or call someone you love. The human brain is highly adaptable and at the same time is a slave of habits. Last year we were familiarising with the “new normal” comprising social isolation, physical distance, altered daily routines in addition to fear and uncertainty in the environment. Living and surviving as a community is a basic human nature therefore unforeseen community isolation created anxiety within us. We accommodated with this process of survival however that had hit us mentally and physically. Acclimatizing was challenging and when we finally achieved it, suddenly an invisible pressure to return back started. As a result of being in isolation for more than a year, even a thought or the prospect of returning back to normal social life may be daunting to many individuals. The impact is so that even those who cons...

Enthusiasm is important; however, infectious, transferable enthusiasm is the key to achieve the so-called unattainable goals. If you start a project, build on it to make it better than anything else you've ever known or seen, or used. Sustained toil would bring the work to completion and perseverance would motivate you to start another initiative. The cycle of success and happiness will thus continue. Most of us have discovered something not known to us about ourselves during the pandemic. There is no geographical limitations to participation in inter-school activities, the exposure has been immense. Many of us have authored books, started clubs, joined outreach programs and some are on the journey to self-realization. Keep it going dear children. Your goals and interests will change over time but continue to strive more, learn more and touch more lives
